Hosting a house party could be a stressful undertaking but the more prep-work completed beforehand, the less work you’ll have to worry about once your guests have arrived. So whether you have a house party coming up or a backyard family gathering, here are some punch bowl recipes to help ease the demands of hosting!


Everyone loves a glass of good sangria! This is a classic option for when you feel confused about the different tastes of your guests. Typically, Sangria is made with white wine or dry red wine, brandy, and lime soda combined with fruits like apples, oranges, and grapes. 

However, try and experiment by adding different ingredients such as peach, cucumber, or lavender to make your punch bowl a little more special and unconventional! To add a tropical vibe during summer, add pineapple or guava!

Pro Tip: Make your Sangria a day in advance. This allows flavors to infuse well together overnight. 


Sangria Punch Bowl: (15 Servings)

Prep time: 15-20 minutes


  • 2 bottles of red or white wine
  • 1/2 Bottle of VSOP Brandy
  • Chopped fresh fruits to your liking: apples, grapes, berries, pineapple, oranges, etc.
  • 1/2 Cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 ½ Cups of mixed fruit juice of your liking: cranberry, pineapple, orange, etc.
  • Soda water


  • Mix all liquid ingredients in a large pitcher.
  • Add chopped fruit.
  • Refrigerate overnight.
  • Pour into a punch bowl and have glassware nearby for guests to serve!



A classic Mojito is made with white rum, soda water, simple syrup, lime juice, and mint leaves. This recipe is a safe bet whether preparing for big-batch cocktails or on a hot summer day. 

To put a spin on this classic drink, add fresh fruit such as Strawberries, Peaches, Pomegranate, Blueberries, Passionfruit, Watermelon, or even Mango to your recipe!

Pro Tip: Have fresh lemon juice on hand any time you are creating a fruit-infused cocktail! This helps brighten the drink while masking the strong flavor of the rum or vodka. 

Mojito Punch Bowl (15 Servings)

Prep time: 10  minutes


  • 1 750ml bottle of Rum
  • 5 Cups of Club Soda
  • 4 Tablespoon white sugar (or agave)
  • 1 and 1/2 Cup of fresh lime juice (or lemon juice!)
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice


  • Muddle mint leaves with white sugar and splash of water in a pitcher
  • Pour Rum, lime/lemon juice, and soda water in the mixture until sugar is dissolved.
  • Refrigerate for an hour.
  • Transfer liquid to your favorite punch bowl with a ladle.
  • Have a tub of crushed ice and glassware nearby for serving.

Spicy Margarita

Here is another classic cocktail for friends that like tequila! It’s hard to go wrong with a classic margarita, especially a spiced version. This is a drink you want to be sure not to add too much sweetener, it could quickly take away from the refreshing aspect of this light cocktail. 

Pro Tip:  Use Serrano Peppers if you know your guests like their drinks extra spicy. Also, prep your glassware with coarse salt or Tajin to really dress up for your guests!

Spicy Margarita Punch Bowl (15 Servings)

Prep time: 10-15 minutes


  • 1 750ml Bottle silver/Blanco tequila
  • 1½ Cups Fresh lime or lemon juice (we prefer lemon!)
  • 2 Jalapenos
  • 3 cups of soda water (or still water)
  • 1/3 cup agave syrup
  • Ice Cubes
  • Garnishes: lime/lemon slices, jalapeno slices, Tajin, etc.


  1. Muddle sliced jalapenos with agave syrup and lime or lemon juice in a large pitcher.
  2. Add tequila and soda water and stir. 
  3. Refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Transfer liquid to your favorite punch bowl and garnish. 
  5. Have a tub of crushed ice and pre-salted glassware nearby for serving.

Whiskey Lemonade

One of the easiest cocktails recipes, which you can make with just 3 ingredients; bourbon, lemonade, fresh herbs, and ice. You can choose any of your favorite whiskey, but nothing makes it more satisfying than a bourbon. Topped with fresh mint and rosemary sprig or a lemon slice, whiskey lemonade is a great option.

Pro Tip: For those who enjoy the warmer sweetness in their cocktails, add a teaspoon of maple syrup!

Whiskey Lemonade Punch Bowl (15 Servings)

    • 1 750ml bottle bourbon whiskey
    • 5 Cups lemonade (homemade or bought)
    • 1/3 cup of honey (adjust according to the sweetness of lemonade)
    • Fresh herbs to your liking: rosemary, mint, sage, etc.
    • Sliced lemons
    • Ice 


  1. Combine lemonade and bourbon in a large pitcher and stir.
  2. Add honey according to taste. Stir. 
  3. Refrigerate for an hour.
  4. Transfer liquid to your favorite punch bowl and garnish. 
  5. Have a tub of crushed ice and glassware nearby for serving.
